Introduction Video Coming Soon……

On behalf of everyone at Harbor Baptist Church, we would like to extend the warmest welcome to you and to your family. We exist to serve those in the mystery that is the Church Jesus is building by the love and grace he showed us on the cross, and through the linking together of one another in love and peace.

This little church on the coast began in 1966, with just a handful of people meeting in an upper room of the Eagle’s Lodge. It has grown and changed over the years, the first building having been built as a community church, with extensive renovations being completed by 2000 of the current building we have today. We are affiliated with the Conservative Baptist movement, of which you can find out more here and here. We have had several pastors over the years including: Dick Kelso (1966), Buddy barnett (1966-1967), Jack Smith (1968-1980), Jim Terry (1981-1988), Dennis Walsh (1989-1999), Eric Osborn (1999-2002), Dale Valevich (2003-2008), Bruce Kupfer (2010-2011), and, in 2013, Kyle Busenitz, along with his growing family joined us from Bandon to become our current pastor.

We desire to serve one another and each other. We desire to reach out into our community and to the world at large with a caring hand, a burdened heart, and the message of the good news of Jesus who is the Christ.

We invite you to get to know us a little better. You can explore what we believe about God and the Bible by reading through our Doctrinal Statement. You can also look at our Affiliations by clicking here.

We offer several events and activities throughout the year and are developing more in the future:

Sunday Service: All are welcome to our Sunday meeting in the main sanctuary of the Church located at 715 Broadway, Winchester Bay, OR 97467. We sing together both traditional hymns and contemporary worship music. Though we are a small church, we are zealous for the Lord and for his glory. After singing, we hear a sermon from Pastor Kyle (or another brother if the pastor is away), and often have fellowship downstairs or stay after in the sanctuary to catch up with one another. Our main service begins at 10:30am.

Sunday School: We currently offer a Sunday School program for the small children, another class for older children, and we have adult Sunday School in the downstairs fellowship hall. Sunday School for all begins promptly at 9:30am.

Home Groups: We offer several home groups throughout the week in Reedsport and Lakeside. We would also like to develop several more home groups in the future in Winchester Bay, Gardiner, and Smith River (or anywhere else the Lord might lead). We also have in development a Couples and Family Small Group as well as a Singles Small Group. If you have any interest in any of these home groups, please contact Pastor Kyle for more information: 541-271-2023.

Youth Program: We are currently developing a youth program for children in our church family as well as children in the community. If you would like more information or have children who would like to participate, please contact Pastor Kyle for more information: 541-271-2023.

Education Portal: We are currently developing an Education Portal offering several informal classes, lectures, and special event media for your edification. You can also find 3rd party programs, classes, and events here as well.

If you would like to reach out to us for any reason, please call us at 541-271-2023 or use the contact form below. We would love to hear from you and would like to help any way we can.
