Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

We, as the leaders of Harbor Baptist Church, have decided to cancel all services for the rest of March due to the Coronavirus. For the foreseeable future, we will be re-evaluating the plan and trying to communicate well to all of you. Please pray for us in these difficult decisions.

But during these 2 weeks (or potentially more), we want you to continue in your faith, especially concerning the following:

– Remain in God’s Word

– Find solid Bible teaching and services (you can find many good ones online)

– Keep giving (whether by dropping it off at the church, or by sending it in the mail)

– Let either the pastor or a deacon know if there is anything we can do to help you through this time (prayer, visit, financial need)

I plan to keep some hours in the office during the week, mainly focusing on you instead of preparation for messages or studies. During this time, the phone will be our main way of communication, and we need to stay in contact to keep being the body of Christ. We plan to follow up this e-mail with a call to make sure everyone gets the news.

Each Sunday I may put a short message on the church’s Facebook page to encourage us in the Lord.

Again, I would remind you as I did on Sunday, that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV) May the Lord bless you during these uncertain times.
