Dear brothers and sisters of Harbor Baptist Church,
We, as your church leadership, wanted to make sure you are informed of our decision to not have church services (Sundays, Wednesdays) until further notice due to the Coronavirus epidemic. This is a time with a lot of uncertainty, and we don’t know how long it will be until we are able to gather together again; we feel this loss. But we also want to be wise in these times, guarding ourselves and our most vulnerable from infection, and keeping a good testimony to the lost around us.
During this time, we are making every effort to keep community for our congregation. We are making phone calls, offering our help, and trying to provide teaching from the Word. Many of you have been able to view the video messages posted on both our church Facebook page and our church web site. We are trying to find some way for the rest of you to also receive these messages.
As we urged you 2 weeks ago, we again challenge you to:
– Remain in God’s Word
– Find solid Bible teaching (let us know if you would like us to provide suggestions)
– Remain faithful in giving – we know that some of you are facing financial hardships of your own, so give as God leads you to give; feel free to either drop your offering in the mail or bring it by the church
– Let either the pastor or a deacon know if there is anything we can do to help you through this time (prayer, financial need, yardwork, shopping, etc.)
We love you all, and we care deeply about your growth in your Christian faith.
We know from His promises in His Word that the Lord holds the future, and His sovereign plan is best. Trust in Him, look to Him, and find your peace and hope in Him.
In Christ,
Pastor Kyle
