Holy Week services

We welcome you to our services as we consider the cost of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross for us and celebrate His rising from the dead!

There will be a community Good Friday service at Reedsport Church of God over the noon hour; it is sponsored by the Lower Umpqua Ministerial Association of churches in our community.

That evening we will have a Good Friday service in the fellowship hall downstairs of our church, starting at 6:30pm. It is a service of darkness that encounters the suffering of Jesus on the cross in His seven last sayings.

On Resurrection Sunday, we will begin the day with a Sunrise Service at Lake Marie, starting at 8:15am. (If it is raining, the Sunrise service will be back at the church in the sanctuary.) Following this service we will fellowship together with an Easter Breakfast. Finally, there will be a Sunday worship service at the normal time (10:30am).

Please feel free to join us for any or all of these services. Call (541) 271-2023 if you have questions. May God bless you as you celebrate our Savior with us!

Christmas Services

We invite all to join us in a time of worship at our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, this Saturday at 5:00pm. This service will include Christmas carols, special music, and a message about Christmas.

We will also have a service on Sunday, Christmas day, at the normal time (10:30am). There will be no Sunday School that morning. Please give a call to the church if you have any questions. Have a Merry Christmas!

Easter weekend services

This weekend there are several services that are happening, and we would like to invite you to them:

There will be a Good Friday service (sponsored by the Lower Umpqua Ministerial Association) at Reedsport Assembly of God church over the noon hour. This church is located on the hill behind Dollar General. The Good Friday service is a great way to focus on the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross for us.

On Sunday morning, Harbor Baptist Church will be having a Sunrise Service at Lake Marie, starting at 8am. (If there is rain, we will meet back at the church.) Following the Sunrise Service, we will be having an Easter Breakfast in the downstairs fellowship hall at Harbor Baptist Church. And finally, our Resurrection Sunday service will be at the normal time: 10:30am. These are wonderful opportunities to celebrate the fact that we serve a risen Savior!

“He is not here, but He has risen.” (Luke 24:6)

Africa New Life update in Sunday School

This Sunday (Sept. 12) we have the privilege of having Fred and Anna Katagwa visit Harbor Baptist Church. Fred and Anna are leaders of Africa New Life, a ministry in Rwanda. They will be sharing an update on the ministry during our Sunday School time (starting at 9:30am). Fred will also preach a sermon during the morning service. Hope you can make it to hear what God is doing!

Wednesday messages

Dear brothers and sisters of Harbor Baptist Church,

Here are the links to the last 4 Wednesday night messages on YouTube:

August 26 – https://youtu.be/Aq2u3eVqXXc

September 2 – https://youtu.be/g1bn3dsw6QE

September 9 – https://youtu.be/-N9g1n7W4SY

September 16 – https://youtu.be/SieDer6aW8o

I put them on YouTube (they are on Facebook also) because some who have a slower internet connection are better able to watch them on YouTube. If you haven’t watched the last few weeks, this is the series so far on “Resolving Everyday Conflict”.
Have a great rest of your week in the Lord!

In Christ,

Pastor Kyle
